Default Computer question.

It is now known that Internet Explorer has a BIG security flaw. Even Homeland Security is warning people to stop using Internet Explorer and install a different browser like Fire Fox. There is no patch available for IE. I have Windows 8, and IE 11 installed on my comp. How do I disable IE and then Install Fire Fox? Needless to say, I'm not a computer guy!

Just go to firefox.com and download firefox and upon install it will ask if you want it to be your default browser and say yes.

Will that then disable IE completely?

I'd still give Firefox or Chrome a try. I find them both superior to IE in terms of ease of use and especially speed.
