Welcome aboard kids, hell Pink I got about 30-some rods and reels floating around over here, but only 4 of them get used to whack at bass with any regularity. Got a Med-Light 7'6"for general worming, a 5'6" Med for cranks, a 6'5" Med light spinning rig for stuff to light or annoying to throw on a baitcaster, and a 7' Med Heavy for jigs, and froggin. Still need another 4 or 5 rigs though to be truly happy, as I am currently swapping 2 baitcasters between 4 rods...

Got my catting rods, my hardwater rods, ultralight, microlight, crappie rigs, perch rigs, trolling rigs, hell, I even have a beautifully restored antique steel rod with an old shakespeare 1964 reel on it I take when I am canoeing (ain't nothing gonna break that thing)

So the upshot is you, like me, need more rods and reels... I am thinking in the neighborhood of 1200-1300

LOL all this talk of pairs and pink has kinda gotten off track of my original question, and after listening to yall i have decided i need to take a good look at what kinda fishing i wanna do, jigging, spinning, frogging, flipping or pitching and go from there........cause unless i win 200 mill on the power ball i wont ever have all the rods i want........hummmm that dosnt sound very princess like to me, i'll have to work on it

pinkbass, honey listen (no pun intended)........you need a rod and reel for each setup there is. green knows this already and hasn't told you has he? hahahaha. tha ti swhy he has so many rods and reels. one for worms and lizards, one for cranks, one for spinnerbaits, one for topwater, and so on and so forth. hhahaha, tha is why he has so many ok?
but if you happen to win the power ball, remember me ok?

Green has been almost honest about this, i think he is trying to protect his wallet more then hamper my fishing. And he is trying to give me his hand me downs and buying me used ones. But as the princess i want new pink ones that are only 1 foot taller then me not 3. And when he first got into bass fishing alot he was always telling me he needed 1200 rods.....and i figured it was him just needing new toys. I am not use to a sport where your gear is not universal ( i also have horses and no matter how hard you try you can only use 1 saddle per ride) He does tell me all this, but he also tells me to figure stuff out my self, which is why i'm gonna ask lots of questions that he already answered but i am gonna ask you guys anyway. So i can use different tactic's and totally kick his a*# LOL

Anyway, welcome to the site! We always mix a little sarcasm and "fun-poking" in with the answers when we can and always end up being the best of friends! I am sure you guys will enjoy it!
('Bama, I am going to tell Lisa to watch what you post on here a little closer! snicker!)

lol, I was looking for a picture to use as the bait monkey and ran across that. I've heard of the bait monkey, but that's rediculas.

Maybe we could invent something like that and get us a info-mercial going. lol

I thought about getting one of those old fashioned shopping carts that old ladies use to bring their groceries home and attaching some PVC pipes to the side with slots in the PVC so the rod would slide down enough to hold it and the reel seat would catch at the end of the slot. But I fear getting a pink hoodie if I actually used it.
