on board charger

the boat i just got as 3 batteries two are for the 24volt trolling motor and the other is for the motor and 12 volt system . i would like to install a charger. do i buy a 3 bank system or a two bank that says for 12/24v. and whats the best amps to buy. any help would be great.

Get a three bank 10 amp charger.

10 amps per bank...they call it a 30 amp charger.if you get anything less than 10amps per bank you will regret it when you need the batteries charged in a couple hours.
i had a 2 bank charger for years,had to keep switching wires over to charge all the batteries.got a 3 bank 30 amp charger.makes life just a little easier.

I don't know that much about this equipment so maybe this point is moot, but make sure it will trickle charge. That does a better job charging your batteries to full without wearing down the dyelectric or corroding the lead plates. Something like that, It's been a while since I've studied that stuff. Point being you will have overall longer battery life and a longer lasting charge.

Go with the Dual Pro 3 bank charger? If you can, invest in 3 Dual Pro Batteries. They are heavy (about 88lbs a piece), and expensive ($225 each) but they are well worth it.
