Default hello guys got a problem

My boat has not been riding very good just cant seem to find the sweetspot when trimming.
I noticed when i was putting it on the trailer, when i gave it gas to bump it up to winch i seen the motor just go down like the trim and tilt is not holding. when i got home I had the motor up but not all the way and i loosened the screw and fluid came out so i retightened it. what is going on with this?

2004 nitro 640lx
2005 75 hp mercury

thanks
Mike

Mike, fluid will come out when loosening the trim fluid screw. The only way it isn't under pressure is when the motor is all the way down. First I would lower the motor all the way down and check or fill the fluid as necessary. If it is full you probably have a bad tilt and trim cylinder that is leaking internally.

Tha fluid thing is normal. What I think your seeing with tha motor going down is probably normal also. Its a "tilt and trim". When your past tha trim circuit tha tilt circuit takes over. Tha tilt part will not hold under more throttle so tha motor drops till it gets to tha trim part of tha system which will hold under any load. This may be what your seeing.................
