They look cool, but right off the bat I see a problem. I looks like the shank is too long, it my spook bass in clear water. I wonder how sharp they are....

Haven't tried the kit, but I've used the hooks before. they're great if you don't have confidence that other hooks are holding your bait up. These are great for beginners cause you can't tie the rig the wrong with them. And they are surprising sharp for kind of off brand hooks (I don't know who makes them, so that makes them off brand to me, lol)

Other than these, I use a couple other hooks for dropshot. Gamakatsu's dropshot/splitshot hook in either 1 or 1/0, and a size 2 or 1 gammy EWG for weedless rigging. Although I'm shying away from the EWG for weedless and leaning more towards Owner's dropshot hook since Kevin recomended it in his video. Those desinately make your bait stand up.

Save yourself the extra money spent on those kits. You can get the Gami Drop Shot hook just about anywhere. Same for those DS weights.

Just barely feed the hook through the nose of the bait, and then bring it out through the top and let the bait rest on the curve of the hook and you will have no problem holding up the bait.

are those Lindy no-snag weights worth it or are the skinny tungsten drop shot weights just as good?

I've seen those lindy no snag weights but have never felt the need to use them. I've never really had a problem with getting hung up too much with tungsten weights that have made me wanna switch.

For dropshot, I lose way to many weights to the rocks to go tungsten. I use plain lead weights. But the long skinny ones do seem to hang up less. I don't think you need the no-snags. and besides, if the do happen to snag (which all sinkers do), they don't have the DS clip so the line slides out.

I don't really find any difference in tungsten and lead DS weights, maybe theres a little more feel with tungsten and they have a smaller profile. I've just recently started using them and have had no problems getting hung up and I do fish pretty rocky waters, but if I do I'm usually able to get them out.

So yeah, I don't really think there is much difference between the two, I think its just a preference.
