Default Where to buy flakes

Hey Folks, Does anyone know where to buy the colored flakes that are mixed with gelcoat. I want to do some repairs on part of my boat and want to match it as close as possible. I have the phone number of the parts department at Champion, A.K.A.Stratos but I thought some one might have a "guy" that's easy to work with.

I would go through ChampioN. They will likely be the only place you can get the exact flake. While your at it I would buy a quart of every colored paint on your boat as well in case you need it sometime, you never know when they will discontinue a color so I would but it all now. That is what I did for my Triton.

Called Champion/ Stratos today about the flakes. The parts man said his records don't go back that far, 1989, but if I can send him a sample they can match it. That's what I'll do.Then the fun part comes, trying to spray like a pro when I've never done it before.

Champ, I don't know what part of the state you are from. But I use a fiberglass guy from Joplin that is the best I have ever seen. I have had to have him patch up 2 different places on my Triton and his work is amazing, even I can't find exactly where the damage was. Both times he charged me right at $100. It might be worth a phone call to this guy to see what he can do for you.

Not advertising this website, but if you need something champion, ask here.

It's just a champion board on a big bass board, a lot of people that know there stuff. Dad runs a champion (and I drive it quite a bit, haha). But they will know if anyone does
