spoons don't normallyu work too well for bass, but hell, give it a try. I've used tin foil and caught bass so I guess its just whatever they want. I wouldn't fish them in weeds though. Spoons and weeds are definatly not a good mix. I would throw the spoons into deep or open water and just give them a medium paced retrieve. This should triegger some strikes. Good luck!
PS: If they don't work for bass, take em to a river for trout, or go out deep for muskie, pike, or walleye. |

I have a massive pike daredevil I throw on for kicks sometimes, but it is not one of my better lures by any measure. Try working it deep and put on a large single hook, I snag up a whole lot with a treble hook.

Spoons do work for bass but those with trebles get caught up really quickly in cover. They can also catch other species like trout.
I know of some who use jigging spoons for smallies. Many a time have conventional spoons and inline spinners save my phanny from going home home skunked when traditional bass baits didn't work.
