Default Punch skirts

Has anyone tried using a punch skirt in front of a texas rigged worm?
Has anyone used a punch skirt other than punching or flipping heavy cover?

Has anyone used a punch skirt or rig at all?......If the answer is yes, tell me the whys, when, where and will you use them again. Ex: what plastics do you use or prefer, did it replace another technique you use to use, do you use it as a slow bite bait or a go to bait?
Yum has a worm, ( I think its called shadlicious or something but it appears to be more of a finesse worm than a stick bait). I'm considering using it with like a dinger, maybe even weightless or a tungsten 1/4 oz. bullet. If I do, do you peg the weight, do you need a punch hook, (I'll be dragging it), do you put a bead between hook and skirt or between weight and skirt or both or niether, should a person rig the skirt backwards or normal?
As always your info and/or input is greatly appreciated

I am a avid user of the punch skirt. I use them instead of a jig for what ever presentation i could fish with a jig, i even have gone as far as making football head worm waits for deep structure fishing. I love the weedlessness of the these baits. I have used just about every plastic i can find behind them. These are great swimjig alternetives, they are much more weedless. All i can say is if you aren't fishing them you need to be. Im in the middle of building some punch skirts "muskie sized" for a up coming trip... should be interesting.

I have personally never used them. But I have a buddy that uses the Paycheck punch jigs and does pretty well in thick lilly pads with them. He usually uses a fat grub and a pegged 3/4-1 oz tungsten punch weight.

Here is a little information: Punchin

I just started using punch rigs I picked up from a sportsman show this past winter. Some pro showed me how he rigged his, using a bullet weight with a screw(1/4 oz.+), skirt, and EWG hook. You screw the skirt onto the screw, then tie your hook, then T-rig your plastic(I've been using Berkley Heavy Weights), so that the eye of the hook is in the plastic, so you can screw the weight into the plastic,(thus no need to peg). I really have only used it for punching thick mats, and pads. Have never tried punch hooks(although I should), and have never tried dragging it or swimming it, but after reading this, think I might try it.
