Default Keitech Easy Shiners

Any of you all used them?

What's the best way you found to rig them?

Here's the problem I was having (BTW they smell like crap...LOL): I first tried rigging them on a Buckeye J-Will Swim Bait Head, but the "bait keeper" is to big in circumference and just tears the head of the bait.

Next I rigged one on a Owner darter head; problem here was (I believe) the shank of the hook was to short and it kept sliding off the keeper.

Then I rigged one weightless on a roboworm rebarb hook. Between the weight of the bait and the hook this was to light for 8lb test and wouldn't sink.

They're all 5" bait, the Buckeye hook seemed to be the right size, I really believe the hook shank on the Owner was to short and rebarb's were 1/0.

Any suggestions? Thanks in advance....

I haven't used them but I want to. Just how soft are they? As soft or softer than an Original Senko?

I use the Swing Impact 4" with a 1/8 oz ball or football head jig. Long shank hook.

Ken it's hard to say their softer but in my opinion at least as soft.

After going to the Keitech website, I realized they make jig heads specifically for their swimbaits with smaller collars so they don't tear them and stay on the collar.

Ken- They are soft and would agree with JD they're probably just as soft as a senko. They have no problems tearing.

The easy shiners seem to be a great bait, nice action and they swim on the fall. I think once I can get them rigged like their suppose to be they'll be a deadly bait too.
