I see the next full moon is the 28th. They should be gearing up heavy by then. Man, if we can get a 60°+ water temp, it will be on like donkey kong. Watch something happen though and I want be able to go until after it is over like every other year. Am I gonna mount a beast (10+) if I catch it off the bed? Just to make some ill, and in the great words of hottie Palin, you betcha.

Every time I start getting the urge to sneak off to the local lake a stupid snow storm blows in and I just can't stand it. I live in Southern Oklahoma, not suppose to snow like this here, if I wanted to ice fish I would move to Minnesota. I am ready to fish. Probably going to just suck it up and go this Sunday. Let you how I did if I don't freeze solid.

It's not all that!! I'm bored to death ice fishing.

I can't wait to get out on open water. There's still 18" of ice on my favorite lake. Bed fishing is a long ways away for us.

We just had the winter storm warning a few days ago for northwest Florida, and just across the border in southern AL, some areas saw 3-6" of snow.. so with that melt and the cold water flowing down my way, a few spring fed ponds and lakes may start the spawn soon but the creek/river fed lakes will probably be another few weeks.

EDIT: just saw local weather and there is another Winter Weather advisory for my area tonight and tomorrow morning
