what happened to the teams? i was gonna post some pics of the team tourney and now it doesn't even appear that I'm on a team? It was cranky, iron, and myself? I don't know what the heck is going on, the last few days have seemed like I was in the twilight zone.

First and foremost, I, WTL am the law and the final arbiter of all decisions in regards to this tournament.

The rules are the most important part of this tourney, and I will only allow fish to be counted that follow the rules. If it were any other way we would invite dissention and controversy just as was seen in the last aborted team tourney.

The rules are as follows:

10 fish limit per team, all black bass accepted. Catch and release is optional, but all anglers must comply with all state regulations. Live bait is also legal.

Must have pictures of all fish caught, including length and girth measurements. The measurements for length and girth are derived just as they are in the Big Bass tournaments, so for a clear explanation see that thread.

Some form of “Unique ID” must be present in the pictures. This may include any form of ID, Passport, School ID, or the poster's name and date written on a sheet of paper. Be sure if you use an ID all important info such as numbers, ect be blurred out. This can easily be done via Microsoft Paint, which comes standard on all Windows computers.

I will post weights regularly. Culling is allowed via the magic of the internet, so should some want to withdraw smaller fish from their limit to replace with larger fish, pending my approval this will be allowed.

If there are any questions feel free to ask them in this thread or PM me.

Because of these stringent requirements, I have decided not to include any pictures posted to this point. I wish it could be another way, but to be fair it must be done this way. The reason being, not many will meet these new and strict requirements - but some will, and I don’t want the rules to favor any one team because of a lack of clear directions. You simply cannot make up rules for a contest as you go along. Hence there will be a start date announced as soon as we can procure a partner for Ironman. The tourney will last for 31 days following the start date, but submissions may be made up until two days after the tourney ends. I reserve the right to disqualify any fish that does not meet the specifications laid out here.

Since this tourney is dominated by younger anglers, I ask that Kevin place this thread in the appropriate forum - which I believe to be the New to Fishing board – but in regards to that it is his call. I also ask that Kevin sticky this thread to the top of the board and lock the other threads pertaining to the aborted tourney so that there is no confusion. And importantly, I thank Kevin for his patience as I know his boards are getting cluttered. There will be two threads in regards to this tourney. This thread is the discussion thread. The other thread, which I shall only post when the tourney begins, is the weigh in thread. Please limit unnecessary discussion in this thread however to make it more readable, and only post pictures in the weigh in thread.

Again, I will only count entries that follow all the rules. Anglers who participate in this tourney by virtue of their actions recognize and consent to all the terms laid out in this post.

The overarching principle that I must abide by, as tourney arbitor, is the fair play principle. I cannot allow anything that would give an unfair competitive advantage to any team.

Rob, others,

I do not believe adding teams at this time would undermine the fairness of this competition, so I will allow it provided you get a partner.

Please PM me for any clarifications.

Thus sayeth WTL. Respect my authoratae.

yeah, after I posted I read the other posts on this tourney and see what happened, what a fn mess.

So anybody wanna be on my team and get a late start? As an incentive for somebody to join my team, I'll use live bait at Rodman, lol.

wtl, just a quick question, do we need the id (paper with our name on it) in the pic with the bass or can it be separate?

"Some form of “Unique ID” must be present in the pictures. This may include any form of ID, Passport, School ID, or the poster's name and date written on a sheet of paper."

The reason I have this rule is so that I know people are catching the fish and not pulling pics off the net. Basically anything that you can get to me to show that it was you catching the fish will be counted. "Unique ID" can be anything, if you have your foot in view in one of the pics with the fish and have a mole on your big toe which you can document, I will accept it.

Or, say you take a fish picture on the bench seat of a boat or on a patch of ground...but forget the ID that day. If you go back the next day and get a pic of some ID next to the area where you took the pic, thus proving a link to that area where you took the pics, I will count it. That is as far as I will go.

Lol, this is kinda funny....

Yes, if I can see the weave and it is the same I will count it.

I fear I may have just created a lot of work for myself judging things like this. Please save me some in the future and use ID, but go ahead and take a picture of the same area of the blue sweater as in the original fish pic. Lol.

Mack, if I can tell it is you go ahead. But I wont count it unless it is fairly conclusive. But give it a shot.

dont wanna post in the weigh-in thread but heres my opinion on texasbassers "joke"...i dont think he was playing a joke at all. i think he was trying to pull a fast one. and even if it was a joke, you dont post crap like that in a serious thread. it makes it harder for wtl to calculate the weights. i think it either shows

A) him being a liar or
B) being immature

which one is it texas?
