Default It's that time again, boys....

It is warming up, the gear is ready to go, and many of us are heading out on the water. So, it is time for my annual reminder:

GET SOME SUNBLOCK AND
WEAR IT!!!!!!!!!!!

Don't risk a bad sunburn or skin cancer when it can easily be prevented! Skin cancer is no fun-I know first hand. So save yourself some pain and trouble and protect yourself.

Very good advice, I've already gotten a sunburn on my bald head this year. It was cloudy outside, cool and windy, I didn't even consider sunblock. A hat and long sleeves or at least a good 35spf or higher sunblock is a must!

Good reminder Reb. I've totally redone my tackle storage system this year, going from a large hard plastic box which I loved, but was very heavy, and a large plastic box for my plastics to two soft tackle bags with individual plastic storage boxes and many extra pockets. I love it! But I definately put the sun screen in the front pocket just so as not to forget. It's just toooooo important to forget! I hope all the young blooods in here take this advice seriously.

My father died from melanoma that metastasized to his liver, spine, and brain. All from a small cancer on the side of his lower leg that he let get to the size of a quarter before doing anything about.

I'm not saying sunblock would have saved my Dad, but I'm sure he wished he had worn it more often.

I keep a tube of sunblock in my boat glove box at all times, for myself and passengers.

RB, I wear it right on through the winter. Can't be too careful.
