RIP Patrick.

Prayers sent for his family. I definitely think it would be a good idea to send a card or something from all of us here at BF.com if someone can find an address.

This is sad news. Kevin thank you for digging up that post by Patrick, it really speaks volumes about what kind of person he was. The fishing community as a whole lost a great friend and we will be sending prayers to his family.

I left a condolence message with the funeral home. They will pass it on to the family. Patrick will be missed around here I'm sure. God bless his family.

I wish I didn't have to post this. I only post it to honor our buddies who have left us, and I fear Patrick has, so:

A BASSIN' MANS PRAYER
Almighty and all loving Father,
We fishermen thank thee
For thy blessings of thy great outdoors,
Especially for the privilege
to pursue our sport
as free men and women in a free nation.
And we especially thank thee
for thy son Jesus,
who so loved fishermen
that he chose four or more
among His twelve Apostles.
And in years to come, Dear Lord,
as each Bassin' man comes to thee,
Please remember these are a special breed.
Their spirits would not be content
to walk Alabaster streets.
Grant them instead
Clean water with a quiet chop
with enough honey holes
to last an eternity
and a Bassin' Buddy to share it with.
In Christ's name,
Amen.
--Homer Circle

To quote Zooker, "'Nuff Said".

Amen Reb. I have to save that one. Patricks going to be sorely missed by all of us. Hopefully he's exploring one of those honey holes right now.

It's always a shame when a young father passes. The best thing is we all know he proclaimed his love for Christ and that he is in a much better place than all of us. My prayers go out to his family and his young daughter, that she will be able to handle such a devastating loss. Also, the words expressed by our members is truly a touching testimony of the people on this site. I am proud to say that I know very few of you personally, yet I consider all of you as friends. I hope his family is able to somehow see the words that have been written by Patrick's friends and gain some comfort in knowing there are a large group of people they will never know grieving with them.
