Default japanese maple

so this after noon I'm sitting by the pond and letting the lab and emma wrestle in the flower garden, I'm looking around at how lasts nights
COLD weather
had knocked down everything in the yard, then realized a japanese maple tree I planted this year and have "babied" every day..was no where to be found!
Hudson our 17 wee old yellow lab chewed it up!
geesh...all that was left was a 5 inch tall trunk and a bunch of chewed up sections.
The maple was 5 feet tall yesterday , all purple and yellow from fall....guess I'll get a bigger one next spring and put a dog guard around it.

it is part of owning a lab they are part goat and will chew ANY thing.. my old dog likes plastic-i don't know why- but he will chew a 5 gallon bucket apart in a couple of days..the reason i feed him in rubber horse tubs..trust me the reason he is out side is well he loved my sound system cords..

the lil female lab like sticks and will gnaw on them for hours..
again i don't know why. every body i speak too about that owns labs have the same problem..

When our house was built, the construction workers buried a bunchof concrete about two feet deep in a corner of the backyard. Go back there one day this summer, looking for my dogs, and find that they have a succesful rock mine It was about three feet deep and three feet across, and they were going in, finding a nice chunk, and taking it off somewhere to chew.....

Great post, Fly Rod. I particularly like the "maple tree and sushi" analogy.

FlyRod is: Afraid he's dislocated a rib (or two) from raffing so hard.
(Hmmmm...he said "honourable"...Amish...or...CANUCK!)
Could JB be an amalgam of both..Amadian...Canish
The mind boggles

Pee? Yes!: JB, you've made my day.

I'm gonna kill a certain partner for publishing my pic AND giving out my phone number. Better yet, I'll publish the shot I sneaked when he...never mind. After all, this IS a family forum.
BTW, guys, Reb is kinda lonely when we aren't fishing. Why not give him a call and cheer him up? Try BR-549.
One of the best threads EVAR! (SoonerFans.com spelling of "ever".)

And now, back to preparing gear for Choke Canyon.

I haven't laughed that hard in a long time!

Skeeter, try sharing a boat with Flyrod-sometimes it is hard to fish due to laughing so hard.
