Default Hey thats not a bass!

Well me and my buddy were "sick" yesterday.... so we went fishing lol. since it was a rainy day We decided we would go try to get us a couple ski's on a local lake. The morning started waaaaaaaay slow not even a follow or anything. Around about 12 we decided to go jack a couple bass up shallow. I had had a few bass in the boat when all of a sudden the i set the hook and the revo was singing.... this was no bass. It was a nice muskie and it was crazy! did i mention i had her on 12lb fc. This dude took a little bit to land with all kinds of crazy runs. This is my biggest ski on bass gear.

Oh yeah my raincoat fell apart too lol.

Wow, Beautiful fish!!
It's really amazing how many Bassers get Muskiy. One of the lakes I fish, Delavan, has a good share of large musky. I loose a couple of lures every year to musky. Which brings the question, do you use a leader and what and when? Congradulations again. Great way to start your holiday.

Nice, bet you stored the rain coat in a boat compartment, those plastic or nylon ones dont last long in there.
But you win the toothie critter award for the day

Nice 'ski! I love fishing for those things but we just don't have any closer than about 3 hours away I'd probably spend a lot less time bass fishing if there was some close by though.

The coat is actually a "mud coat" for 4 wheeling and it was brand new.... they are sending me a new one this week. I had forgot my frog togs at home and this piece of awsomeness was still in the package in my truck so i figured it would work lol...

Nice muskie! Must have been a blast on bass gear! I've caught a few pike around that size on bass gear, it is blast. Last summer I caught a 31 incher on a drop shot with 8lb Fluorocarbon!
