Default Don't forget about bridges.........

Dog days now in my area.........fish are slow to bite. Especially in these drought conditions we are having again.

I have always caught some good size fish under bridges during these types of conditions.

Top water will always get them when nothing else will. Try a small size pop-r in and around the pilings. These fish hold tight in the shade but will gladly go for a struggling bait on top if you can get them close to the pilings.

Lots of bridges have what looks like an H built into the pilings so this gives fish a good spot to hide under........all they need is a small popping noise on top to bring them up.

Stay back away as far as you can when offering this bait.

One other note..........notice all the birds nest under bridges......do you think any small birds ever fall in ?............

Buzz bait works well and I think they mimic a small bird....... just make it buzz as soon as it hits and hang on..........does not matter how deep the water is.......they will be there.

This is totally true for around here.
Glad to hear you're catching fish.
