Insert/ Insert Free Tungsten Weights
Do yall prefer insert or insert free tungsten weights? I am about to buy a bunch bulk. (got to supply up when i still have money before leaving for college, half will still go to dad) I want the weights to minimally damage the line. These will mostly be in the 1/2 and 3/4oz range, if it makes a difference.
Something I have no idea on, Thanks for the knowledge and help. Isaac

I prefer the ones with an insert but honestly they can be a pain to deal with…..and for that reason I Stopped using them! Many of the new tungsten weights claim that the center is bored clean and smooth so that would eliminate the need for the insert. I think Aaron Martens used to use heat shrink in his weights to make his own insert.

I prefer the weights without the insert. I have a bunch of Tru Tungsten weights, I stocked up before they went out of business and I have a few of the Strike King weights.

Here's the Aaron Martens video showing how to put a shrink tube insert in tungsten weights.
