Default Monster Worms

I'm on this huge worm kick lately and I was wodering what big worms everyone uses I'm talking 10in + size and what color seems to work the best for them. Also, what hooks is everyone using. I like pictures some post them if you got them.

watermelon candy, green pumpkin, black w/blue flake, tequilla sunrise, and red bug are all great colors for around here.

10" powerworms, strike king anaconda, netbait c-mac, and zoom ole monster are all great worms

When, and if, the bass around here want a 10" worm, I like the rage tail anacondas or powerbait 10" worms like C-rig said. My best colors are watermelon candy, watermelon, and green pumpkin, and junebug once in a while.

Last week I was using a 10.5" GP/red flake ribbon tail worm in practice and caught one bass. It was 11.25" long.... big baits catch big fish.

I throw western plastics in 12 and 16 inch sizes. Most all of mine are a variation of brown or watermellon.

On hooks, I prefer the owner long neck hooks for worms over 10 inch.

I have only had a 5-10% failure on the stoppers in the begining. I now add a drop of superglue to the base of the stopper when I first purchase them. Since then I have seen no issues at all.

On the ledges on Kentucky Lake, Plum color worms work well. The color is no great secret. They list it in most fishing reports from here. That color has helped win some folks a lot of money on this lake in the last month or so.

I found some 15" hard poored worms at a local place, have not got to use them yet.. but will get around to it. Mann's makes a 12" worm, so dose culprit, I also like gambler 10" worms. But my all time fave 10" worm is rage tail anaconda! Those dudes are great rigged weightless or with a bead on the front. Bass tear them up! So far I've caught a 5lber and a 6lber on them this year! Also try googling 10 inch bass worms, you should find some thing!

My fave colors are water melon red fleck, black/back shad, red shad, and clear water red.

I like Gamakatsu EWG Monster Hooks, and Owner Offset Shank Wide Gap Worm Hooks.

Good luck!

I'm brand new to the big worm game, up here when things get tough we go with four inch red shad, but this year I got some bags of the Trixie that are about ten inches, havent tried them yet but that will change next time out.
Thinking of hitting lake summit and give brookville a break, its a grass lake out in the middle of nowhere, good chance to try other lures than cranking all the time.

I've caught a lot of bass this year with a zoom ole monster in watermelon/red and junebug. I texas rig them on a 3/0 gammy EWG hook and a 1/8 weight.

I'm gonna have to try out those RT Anaconda's. They look weird, but people say they work.

Default Lake Fork

I've been working close to lake Fork for a couple of weeks now, I'm a big worm believer. Been using a 12" worm made locally around Lake fork in Blk/blue, so far produced a 9.8 and 5.6 and several 3 to 4 pounders. Fishing after work until about 11 pm about 3 times a week, then I wear out and have to get some rest for work the next day, wish I could stay longer but just getting to old I guess.

i have had the same itch and addiction lately to throwin big worms

i was at first throwin some really old black "bass assassins" they are about 12 inches and are a big curly tail worm (i caught a bunch of fish on this this year)

then in got some of those super c-macs from net bait and caugth some fish on those

and recently i got some of those 12 inch jelly worms.... they are really thick, and i have yet to catch anything on it, but i have only thrown em once..... actually right next to the bank i was pullin it up, and when it touched the surface of the water a little fish pecked at it..... haha, it was weird
