Default Went fishing tonight, caught a few....

Here are a few pics of the first place I went fishing....got like a small 6 inch bass on a craw colored baby 1- crank

Ok then I switched spots completly and caught this ...I guess 2lb? on a yum zellamander

Then I caught this 3lb6oz(weighed it) on a proschoice fluke style bait in baby bass color

Then it was dark and I threw on a old black spinnerbait with a gold colorado blade and got a small 8inch bass......

That's all for tonight.

Nice fish. I looked around at the pictures, and if you can get a boat and get to the other bank, I'd skip flukes and worms underneath that overhanging brush. That places looks pretty good to me.

Always good to catch a few fish. Do you have access across that lake.

By access across I assume you mean do I have a boat? Sorry to say, no I don't. I will have one next year.

No what I meant was, are there any other spots along the shore that are accessable for you to get at? Is that a lake or pond or river? Trying to keep ya catchin fish.

Well one of the spots was the Erie Canal, another spot was mud creek a run off of the erie canal. I am located in palmyra NY, about 30 miles east of rochester. There is some spots here and there but if you are talking about getting in around hang overs, I have not found any good spots for that yet. I got to get a boat lol. but there are plenty of different locations to fish at on this canal, wether it be roadside spot, resting areas, parks.....there is a lot of bank spots, but a boat sure would be great.

Why is it evertime I read one of your posts I get nightmares of "sand minnows" dancing in my head?

Chris,

Nice fish. Looks like good potential for a big smallie.

the erie canal is by far a great place to hang a big smallie or lm if ya can get by the pleasure boaters that is. i have caught some big lm out of the canal and some of the feeder creeks i like lilly pad creek to the west near seneca lake.
