flying off how? when you cast? if so, how far are you trying to cast them? You can't sling a wacky rig half way across the lake.

Are you losing them on a hit or setting the hook? if so, try downsizing your bait a little or going to a circle hook which you don't have to really set the hook. It's more of a sweeping/reeling motin. If it's other than this your going to half to be more specific in your post.

GHETTO,

If you would use rubber bands or "O" rings as suggested in the past, it would probably eliminate your problem. Also, as has been suggested, this is not a bait that you see how far you can cast, it is a finesse bait that needs short casts to make a subtle entry.

Actually, one that fits your bait. Â*The O'ring goes around the bait and you slide your hook in between the ring and the bait, or just slightly into the bait and under the ring.
