fish replicas
ok guys ive heard alot about if you catch a nice bass that you think you wanna mount take some good pictures and just get a replica but ive been looking around the internet and all i see are the one's that you can just buy without even showing a picture or even catching a fish
i can go out and buy a 60" sailfish replica and put it up on the wall when i have never even been deep sea fishing where are the ones where you can show them a picture and say i want a replica of this fish and then you get it any company names or anything regarding this topic would be greatly appreciated

My Uncle is a Taxidermist, I tried calling him to ask him your question but he hasn't got back to me yet. I'll let you know when I hear something.

Very expensive. It varies with the Taxidermist, but you can look into $100+ easy.
It also depends on how you want the fish mounted, and what on and so forth.

That is a mold of the real fish, it's not a skin mount. The guy did it just like a replica but he had a mold of the real fish. And yes, I am the state record holder.

The thing is, when you get a replac you want the best you can get because you'll have it forever.

No it wont be in the thousands. What sized fish is this we are talking about? If a nice 8lb replica is 705$ you can look to that as some sort of guide line. Honestly, unless the fish is in the double digits I think getting a mount made is a waste of money. [Unless its a state record, as in SuperFluke's case] I mean honestly you catch a nice 6-7lb bass yeah take lots of pictures and what not, but who needs a mount? Its money you can put towards so many other things. Until you actually have a job and enough money to buy a replica twice, theres no point in getting a mount made of a bass under 10lbs.
