I asked my dad last night if we could go out on the boat this weekend and what he said almost gave me a heart attack.I think most all of you know by now I have never caught a bass going on the boat alway's just in pond's, so my parent's are getting sick of going on the bost since we necer catch anything on it, so here is what we said " I will take you this weekend but if we don't catch anything we are not going freshwater fishing on the boat for atleast 6 month's" so we are going this weekend. So I need some REALLY good tip's on some of the best way's to catch them bass PLEASE.

Fish like you are kvd. Seriously POWERFISH, cast your favorites baits in a semi circle, working them at different depths, I like three cast to each spot, first I fish deep, next medium, and then on top. Then use adifferent baits.

Ok. it's pretty murky and it has fast moving water and lot's of little inlet's and ALOT of lilypad's a few dock's and some log's coming off the shore and the water level on the shore is about 2-6 feet and in the middle of the lake it get's to be about 20ft.

i would use a big 10'' ribbontail worm in black on a carolina rig,or a big 1/2ounce spinnerbait with 1 big colorado blade with a chartreuse skirt. fish both slowly. you could also use topwaters like a big popper or a slush bait.

First thing in fast moving water you need to find Eddie pools, using dark baits dark drown, red, black. If its hot go deep for fish get some fish attractant this will help the fish find you bait faster.

Early morning, fishing around the banks and try the docks and logs fish will be in the shallow water early looking for smaller fish.

Mid day, Move towards the lily pads the fish will be going for cover around then work it fast and cover lots of area, start going around this time for medium depth water, work those eddie current pools fish wait in there to ambush fish comming down streem.

Late day, Try going back to shore, and docks, work your way over to the lilly pads as well.

Alright, does this pond have catfish? If so, use one pole to catfish, while bassing with another pole, and that way you have a better chance of catching something. I would use magic bait, you can get it at wallys. Look at my worm rig post, and try that with about the last two inches of any kind of worm.

take a 4 inch finese worm or a 6 inch finese worm and dropshot it around the docks and points.....try shaking it with brass and glass on a t rig...if you don't get anything I myself will be disappointed!...lol.

or nightcrawlers on the ds or c rig like above.......you might want to use live bait if you seriously want to make sure you get something!

I promised myself that I would not use real bait. But I think I'm going to have to resort to some shinner's.

Ok, my question is this. Why does your dad own a boat if he never takes it out just because he doesn't catch anything? How does he expect anybody to get any good at it if you don't go out?

We go out every other weekend bass fishing but we have never caught a bass on it. and if we stoped bass fishing we would just use it for salt water fishing witch I don't even like.

throw a c rig with a brush hog or some worm on it and drag it aroung some deep points.....early in the morning someones gonna have to step on the trolling motor and you are going to want to cover as much water as possible with some spinnerbaits, topwater, some reactionary baits,...crankbait and just go down the bank.....then move out and try the deep water stuff.

if ya dont catch anything off the logs, lillypads, or docks. i dont know what to tell ya. i would start with a crank bait or a spinnerbait (with fast retrieves) around all three areas make sure they bump and run into the logs. if no takers slow down with worms/creature baits and jigs. depending on how murky i would then try a shakey head. start fast then slow down. thats how i do it.

FIrst off, what's not to like about salt? Inshore saltwater is a lot like bass fishing, but the fish fight harder and taste good.

As for catching some bass, this time of year is not the best time to go catch a limit of bass. Get a bucket of shiner, freeline half of 'em on 5/0 hooks, and float the other half 6 inches under a bobber.
