Default Shimano Curado vs. BPS extreme

Anyone think one is better than the other?

The BPS extreme is cheeper, but that's probably because it's a BPS brand. The Curado has a S.R.P. of $120.00, does anyone think it is not worth all $120.00 of it?

I heard someone on this board say it's not much better than the Shimano Coroilis or Crestfire, it's just more expensive. Can't anybody relate to that, or do you not agree?

I know Rebbassar likes the BPS extremes, and JackL likes the Curado's; can't way to hear what they haft to say.

Curado hands down is the better. I have five curados a Calais and all the chronarchs and one BPS Extreme The Etreme is not as smooth is not as smooth casting as the Curado the feel of it is not as comfortable as the curado. The Extreme is not a bad real but I think still think the curado is better imo.

tj,
sorry, I'd have to disagree with you on this one, I like the BPS extreme more than the shimano curado. Â*I have used both and they are about the same, except the BPS extreme seems just a little bit smoother than the curado. Â*Plus its about $50 cheaper so I'd have to go with it. Â*They're both good reels though, the extreme is just cheaper. If you want to get a shimano, I'd go with a coriolis($80), not the new design, but the orangish red one. I like those.

I read a comparason on the two from a guide who uses both. He said that over the long haul the Curado would hold up better, but he also said he uses them some 300 days a year. For the average angler who fishes less than 100 days a year he said the Extreme compaires favorably with the Curado. I've heard the same from a number of people who use both. Like in all fishing gear, it really comes down to personal preference.

The Extreme is a good reel don't get me wrong they're worth every bit of a fifty bucks or even more but in my opinion the curado is better.
