Default Here's a few I have...

I have a ton of pictures somewhere from the first time I took all 3 of my kids fishing.

From left to right: My oldest and her fish (she wouldn't hold it), sunrise over Diamond Valley Lake, Ol' Glory flying high on DVL, 87 boats waiting to launch for the tournament on DVL, and a picture of Ol' Glory I took one day during a BBQ for our local firefighters and police officers to thank them for what they do.

I had a good weekend of fishing! My 2 nieces (ages 7 and 12) love to fish. Saturday and Sunday we caught a good number of bass just walking up and down the shore casting a weightless fluke and swim jigs including this 18" bass in the picture. Monday morning I was up around 6 am before everyone else and started walking up and down the bank... I couldn't catch a single fish. It was a beautiful calm morning after 2 days of steady 15-20 mph wind, so I decided to get in the boat and cross the lake to the North shore where the wind had been blowing. I took 3 rods; tied on a swim-jig and a weightless fluke. I was debating what to tie on the third rod: a T-posed worm or a Zoom Horny Toad. I decided on a Horny Toad because there were some isolated weeds where I was headed. I dropped the trolling motor and on my thrid cast I missed a nice bass on the Horny Toad. I had intended to fish a bay, but instead I turned the boat in the opposite direction and decided to fish a long shallow flat. For the next 2 hours I had a bass hit my horny toad on about every fourth cast. I caught a half-dozen bass that were 17" or 18" long and lost count of the ones between 14 and 17 inches. I went through 2 full bags of horny toads and the front deck was littered with horny batis that were so torn up they wouldn't stay on the hook anymore.

I like the odd big bluegill bycatch. Wife has a knack for it.

These are from the last weekend in September. The dock/lift in the last picture is ours.

My wife with our only double from our last fishing trip, I won't say who caught the big one.

Had to go in to get this one out of the brushpile.

My wife and I with KVD at Table Rock.

My dad with a evenings worth of walleyes from our annual walleye trip. I'm not a walleye fisherman and it kills me to go to this lake to walleye fish because it's an awesome smallmouth lake but it's a great excuse for dad and I to get out and spend some time together.

Got to love when they eat a jig like this.

A bluff at Lake of the Ozarks.

Dusk on the White River.

There's gotta be one in there!

That doesn't look good.

Happy birthday to me! All on a buzzbait.
