Was thinking the other day if money was not a issue, what boat would you go with? A Nitro, Tritan, Ranger, Stratus, Skeeter, Sterling, BassCat, other? Lets here it which one and why?

I would personally choose a basscat (Jaguar), there are so many options and the layout is amazing. If only I had 60ish grand

My 21X has impressed me since day one so I voted Triton. However next time I buy a boat it will most likely come down to Triton, Basscat, and Phoenix. Phoenix looks like a great boat too but I haven't rode in one yet, and I wish they weren't so narrow up at the bow, that is one area where I know my Triton is better than the Phoenix.

BassCat for me. Hoping to pull that trigger within the year.

I had to go with Nitro since that is what I have. Hope to upgrade from a 16 foot to the Z-7 sometime...

Both my 'glass boats have been Triton - and I really like them. HOWEVER, money not an object would be between two boats, Phoenix, and the Skeeter FX. I looked very hard at the Skeeter FX last week and I really like the way it's set up. EVERYTHING in the back compartment is easy to get to should you need to, batteries, pumps, it's all easy access. That this boat's hull was designed for the Yamaha SHO also gets a big thumbs up for me, that engine is the best power option IMO.

I still love this old Champ, and wish they were still building them, but since they are not, Phoenix will most likely be my next boat.

ME thinks any of them would be niiiiccee, but if I had to choose it would be a Ranger and I know Adam would get a Legend. In the mean time we'll just stick with our little ole Dyna Trak (low payments $0.00)

I don't think there is a Phoenix dealer north of the Mason/Dixon, YET.
And I really don't need, want or more importantly can afford a new boat. This IS all just fantasy - ISN'T IT? While I serioulsy did look at the Skeeter, that's all it was, looking.

I marked down Sterling/Gambler just because I've always liked them. Since we are just dreaming here I suppose I'd take a Stroker first though for inland lakes and a Ranger 621VS for the big water. Or maybe I'd settle for a Z522.

JUSt looked at a phoenix for the first time. It's a nice boat. I also just saw a commercial for the new rangers, man, those are nice too. It would be a hard but enjoyable decision to make

Allison for the simple reason can strap half the motor on it and go just as fast, metal reinforced transom ,all composite will never rot, only wood in it is behind the steering wheel in the dash.Floats in 12 in with two up,goes where wider boats cannot,is 20 ft yet drives like a 17,yet rides like a 21.
Oddly tis the boat I have now,and am a basser on a budget 2002xb-140 xflow ,stock geacase 2.25 gr ,24 p raker running deep,59mph-gps,it runs well in up to 3 fters on ky lake.
With any stock 150 (post 85 at the prop hp)ever made its a mid 70s boat, most other 20-21 fters with a 200 wont run mid 70s.
Slip factor of about .04 and uses a lot less gas as a result.
Mine is a tourney weighing in with a hyd jack plate without the motor at about 1120-30 lbs.
Motor is a 77 model xflow first year of mfg at 296lbs,putting out about a whopping 120 at the prop on a good day
Previously had a 200 rude on it that ran low eighties, setup for fishing with a 4 blade 27 p,its just nice to put put in my old age.
24 gal gas tank range is 90-100 miles wot loaded, with that old antique.

First, list the options and items you want in a boat, THEN start looking for quality boats that have what you want. Do not limit yourself to a few brands or you will either pay too much, or never find what you are looking for.

This is wishin, money is not an option, so you will never pay too much. lol. But good point about listing the options first.

If money were no option, I would buy

Ranger 521
Skeeter FX 21
Skeeter 21i
Phoenix 721 Pro
Stratos 201 Pro
Stratos 210 Elite
Nitro Z9
Bullet 21RDC
Bee Line 2100 Super Vee
Legend Alpha 211
Sterling
BassCat Jaguar

And then run em and sell em off to my buddies for next to nothing until i have it Narrowed down to my favorite rig. And then all my buddies would have great rogs at cheap prices to boot.

And that is just bass boats...

I would do the same thing to find a Flats Boat and a Bay Boat.

I would love a Hewes 17 foot with polling platform for backwater LGMouth. A 25 hp 4 stroke w/tunnel hull. A Minn Kota 80lb w/remote and a forward casting platform. Perfect for my skinny water LGMouth/Snakehead..

I think if I could spring the cash, I would go with the Skeeter or Phoenix. The Phoenix has some mad storage.
