Default 596c hummingbird di

ok how do i go about installing this in my boat. I have heard that u can epoxy it in your hull you can screw it to the back of the boat and i even heard of a guy drilling a hole in the bottom of the boat and then filling it in with epoxy. i was told that it has to be mounted so that it is in the water is that true, any help would be great on this 1 for i don't want to put any holes in my boat or have to even screw it to the back if it can be avoided

I assume you talking about the transducer, drilling a hole in the bottom isnt a good idea.
Can be mounted on the stern(screwed and sealed with silicone or caulk),fiberglass boat,or epoxied to inside bottom of boat where its a single hull,or placed on a trolling motor for low speed application.
Your manual from humming bird will have an install page.
Im jealous at 549 dollars it does have 180 deg at 800 mghz,it wont read that at wot however, regardless of where placed or how, should have come with a stern transducer plate two piece, with screws.Again your manual, will explain a lot.
