Default Lots of Docks!!!

If you were fishing here in North Forida where the water is semi stained (reddish), 69 degrees and anywhere between 5 and 25 ft deep around literally hundreds of boat docks...what would be your favorite lure to throw around these docks??? (We all know what you will say PNJ!!!)

You answered for me , but a soft stick bait is also a good choice skipping it up under them.

There are lots of tubes of worms that you can skip into and under the docks, its an effective method.

6-8" worm june bug color peg the bait.
lipless crank in firetiger or gold.
key to to this type of fishing is finding the fish holding location on any dock. odds are they will be shallow-less than 2-3 feet of water- rule of thumb here is if it is muddy or stained do not fish the out side pillars go in against the bank..it is very excating type of fishing. keep the bait tight to the up rights on the fall the bite will be very sudden..

Look for the boats that dont seem to move much. Chances are a seldom used boat will hold some fish.

I target pontoon boats that look like they have been sitting.
Note the cobwebs on the tarps or sides.
Also a pattern I was shown years ago, on windy days the bass will hold under rows of docks to avoid the ruff waves etc, I throw a buzz bait near the dock posts , under or sides of the boat area, then flip a junebug manns ribbon tail worm..3/16 pegged and work it, many times thats the ticket to getting bites, sometimes 2-3 ft range, other times 5-7 ft area..good luck!

I would throw a jig, senko, and spinnerbait.

i have caught 1 from under a bass boat, but hav'nt caught any from under a pontoon boat. in the summer or on sunny days, bass look for shade, so a pontoon boat would be a good place to hide.

My favorite dock bait is a 4"-5" Senko or Tiki Stick. Watermelon/chartruse in dingy water. I'll also flip a 4" tube as well.

Hose Holder! LMAO.....I fish docks with jigs, cranks, spinnerbaits, worms and the occaisional topwater. Usually catch quite a few pontoons.LOL I always look for the docks that are dirty so to speak. The ones that dont get alot of traffic. Usually do better on those and do real well on the wood docks not so good on the metal docks.
