Default fish/ski boats

I love bass fishing and am finally at a point in life where purchasing a boat is a possibility. My wife grew up waterskiing and would like a ski boat, but I would much rather have a bass boat. I have not done too much research but have seen dual purpose boats fish/ski. Is this a waste of time to look into? Would I being getting a half-assed fish and half-assed ski boat if I decide to get the fish/ski boat? Would it be better to purchase a boat for just bass fishing and one for just recreational use?? If anyone has a fish/ski boats or knows anything about them let me know what you opinion is.

Personally I wouldn't hesitate to buy a fish/ski from any of the major manufactures. Â*Sure they're a compromise, but they do most things pretty well.

I like the Ranger Reata series.

Here's another website. http://www.skeeterboats.com/

I own a Skeeter SL190 F/S. I enjoy the boat but am looking forward trading it in next year for a new TZX 200.

Try a deck boat set up for fishing. If it's more for entertaining(5 or more people on it at once) You'll appreciate the room, and power available nowadays.
