Beaver Baits
If there is one bait I have fallen in love with it is most deinfitley the Sweet beaver. I had quite a few dang good days with them on my local reservoir, tom the run, pitching them up shallow in willow bushes. I rig the on a 2/0 J Bend Gammy, 3/16 oz Bulet weight, 50 lb Spider Wire Steatlh. The next type of beaver I am gonna learn how to use is the Double Wide by Reaction Innovations. My biggest fish on a beaver is around 3 lbs. Anyone else have good luck wih tthese baits? Anyone here like the Smallie beaver?

yep
I sell a beaver bait that I use all the time. t-rg, or as a jig trailer if im looking for a huge profile bait. Smallies do love em too.
Great baits. With that said, I think every bait can be great if you find confidence in it. |

I've tried the beavers, even MMiB's, it's not their fault, I just don't like it that much, and don't know why. I've caught some really nice fish on them, I just prefer a brushhog style bait.
I do love the smallie beaver on a Spot Remover |

Powerbass, I must admit, I don't fish the beaver or the pacas. I think I may have some in my tackle bag but to be honest, I can't figure how to rig em'. Can you scan a pic of how you rig em? Anyone? Anyone?

I t rig em on a 2/0 J Bend gammy or straight shank flippin hook. 3/16 oz is the smallest weight I start out. I have went up to 5/8oz tungsten before just to get it through the scum

It's not as grand as it seems, we get one aisle, and as much trout gear as we have bass gear (last I looked, Raleigh ain't nowhere near a trout stream...), but it's something

Whats a spot remover? I almost ordered some of those from mmib, (beavers) but didn't have the money. I will next time, what colors do you use? I can see using them with a heavy weight, and punching through heavy hydrilla working real good.....

If youroder from custom hand pour companies, MMiB, are yours flat sided on one side? or both sided are ribbed and fullly round? I like Black Blue Fleck from BNB baits.

MMIB's bait are fully rounded and ribbed, and by far the best soft plastics I have ever used. For the price of one bag of senkos, you can have 2 bags of theirs, and they work better.
