Double Blade Buzzbaits
Has anyone used double blade buzzbaits. Which are the advantages comparing with the ones with a single blade?
My goto lure is a booyah black buzzbait 3/8 single blade and i'm wondering whether will change anything if i use double blades on it. |

i dont use anything but a double bladed buzzbait. You can retrieve them slower is one major advantage. You can adjust the blades for quieter retrieve, or adjust them for louder gurgling. Ive caught some of my biggest fish this year with a double bladed buzzer. nothing else for this guy.
. Ill be making my own this winter. |

Change away, that's how you make good baits into great one's, by adding your own special touches

well, double blades will make more noise and more splash than single blades,so it might imitate a bigger baitfish,or you can bend the one of the blade arms so that it will run to the left or right so that you can get under docks and tree overhangs. i dont use buzzbaits alot, but i do use spinnerbaits alot.

i just bought one this weekend from a custom lure maker. looks like it will do some good. i bought because it will probably put out more sounds, splashing, and vibration which catches the fish's attention and irritates them and makes them strike.

What dp said-it is usually the changed bait that is different from what everyone else is using that gets the fish in heavily pressured situations.

they throw double bladed buzzbaits on the river here, but with a buck fur body instead of a buzzbait rubber skirt. I've had so so luck with them, I prefer the lunker buzzbait and add trailers if needed

The main advantage I can see, is the slower retrieve rate, and the added sound/vibration. I bet a black/red one would be awesome fished as slow as possible, right before the sun comes up.

Black and red is my go to color on spinnerbaits/buzzbaits if all else fails. They produce constantly, especially on overcast days, or in the dark.
