sea trout? as in weakfish? I've been trying to catch those, no luck though. a brackish river. by mr whiskers i assume you mean catfish. i didn't think they'd live in brackish water.

He probably means saltwater catcfish, which are a pain. Rvery year, I take a trip down to Laguna Madre, to go redfishing/seat trouting, with a guide. We use live shrimp, under a popping bobber, and you throw em into the current, and pop it, and try to keep it in a 3 foot circle as the boat drifts toward it.
CK9, I did that once, and ruined a whole bag, read the back, it says your not supposed to. Is Foodsource the same, or can you leave it out without it getting dried up?

got a friend that recently caught a 2 pound chanel catfish while flounder fishing. under the 64 bridge over the albermarle sound. which is about 3 miles -by water- from the ocean. about 500 yards by land to the ocean..so yeah some fish can stand a lot of ph in the water..

There are also saltwater catfish, I occasionally catch them when surf or pier fishing around the VA Beach area.
