Default rod guide

What do you do to replace a rod guide? I stepped on the end of my extreme and broke the fuji guide, the eye just bent a little I bent the eye back and its perfectly fine. Is there anywhere i can buy just one guide for the last eye, and how do i put it in?

Hula, if I undersrand correctly you broke the insert out of the eye on the tip of the rod, correct?

If that is the case I do not know if you can get just the insert-you will probably have to replace the entire rod tip. That is real easy to do.

Take a lighter and heat up the tip to melt the glue holding it on-most use the same kind of glue that you use in a hot glue gun-and pull the tip off with a pair of pliers. Most places that sell tackle will have a replacement tip-I've even seen them at Walmart. Take the tip with you to make sure you get the right size. Then use a hot glue gun, put a drop on the end of the rod and push the tip on. Line it up, let the glue cool and you are good to go. I recommend not using super glue since you may need to remove the tip more than once-break it again and you are out of luck replacing it if you use super glue.

That said, since it is a BPS rod if you have one close just take it back-they will probably replace the whole rod.

Walmart sells the rod tips and glue kit.Just remeber to heat it just enough to pull the old tip off and then you won't damage the rod tip blank.P N J
