Snakehead would bite them legs clean off. I didn't watch it all, is there a published price?

The legs are what worry me also. Will they hold up? Also I saw complaints about the paint job not lasting. Regardless though, it looks pretty darn good in the water. Reminds me a bit of the Larry Dahlberg River 2 Sea frog, minus the diving lip. Those legs aren't the sturdiest for sure.

Yes looks like many spotted and or buck bass will or would grab the legs, but if it saves the day might be worth it.I like my capt kens and with skitter legs does about same hop,yes some bass bite the legs but on the capt kens durable and replaceable.
He just sent me some more skitter legs plus a T shirt, been an excellant mentor on frog fishing. Many here would relate to him well as fishes fla out of a yak. Now if it will just stop raining the grass might top. Last edited by lilmule; 07-24-13 at 10:01 PM. |

I'd like to see a clearer vid of the action. Speaking of rain......one of the HOA ponds I fish is so flooded that a whole new set of patterns has emerged.
Buzzing a horny toad past trampoline legs. Hopping a shakeyhead through tall fescue and pausing it right on top of a fire ant mound. Deadsticking a senko on the downwind side of a BBQ grill. As a matter of fact I'm headed down there this morning and the ol boy that let's me put in at his house called me last night and said the hot bite this week has been running red spinnerbaits past mailboxes (but only the ones with the flag up)

ive fished a fair share of frogs over and around flooded buckbrush and fescue this year, with johnsongrass coming a close third.I try to avoid the pattern of the lil building with the half moon door as generally to much paperwork involved.
The most recent lower units lost were to picnic tables, should know better than to cut across the state park campgrounds. Down now to summer pool but still moving mucho water out the gates -spilling until further notice been that way for over a month. |

I saw them frogs at iCast, really like the looks of them and only around 8 bucks so the price is right! Definitely gonna be getting a couple for next year!

My usual fishing buddy is a frog freak and I'm sure he hasn't seen this frog. I bought one and will be fishing it on our next trip, just to get a reaction. It does seem more fragile than the SnagProof I usually fish, but if it gets me some strikes in front of my buddy it will be worth it!

Well, I have fished this frog quite a bit over the past two months and it has held up very well. The legs have not torn or come off after numerous fish, lots of strikes beyond that and plenty of abuse in pads and heavy grass here in Florida. The best feature of this frog is the way it gives kicking action but the ability to remain in the target zone longer than a Zoom-type frog. It is softer through the body than the typical hollow body frog so the hook-up ratio is better in my opinion. Best of all, I caught back to back three pounders in front of my frog crazy buddy the second time out. He now fishes one too.

Reminds me of Superior Frogs which aren't hollow body though.
I've had ok success with them and have caught plenty of Pike with the legs holding up.

I've pretty much given up on frogs the last couple years.
The first season I tried em, I got tons of blow ups, even some hooksets, lol. Since then, I can't buy a frog bite. When you're getting a godawful strike rate.....on a bait with 50% hook up bein the bench point.....kinda soured at this point. With that bein said, that is an interesting frog
