Default Cleaning wiring connections

OK I either have the cheapest connectors in the world(the one on my Blazer, and the one on my trailer) or they just constanly keep getting corrosion. How do you clean them good, and how do you keep the clean. I got a gun cleaning wire brush(trick I learned from the boat mechanic) for the female connectors, and use the same just at angles for the male connectors. But it seems like every time I go out, I have to mess with it again. Heck when I load from the water it works great it's all wet. Anyway any suggestions on a good connector or a better longer lasting way to clean them would be appreciated.

Lizards, Good Post, I have the same problems with my pumps in the back. I've got a pump out pump not working now. So I get to pull the charger and a couple panels to find the bad connection.
I hope someone can tell us an easier way.

LIZARDS/ROGER,

Go to a automotive or maring supply store and buy a spray can of "Corrosion Pro" by LubriMatic. Clean your terminals well and spray with the Corrosion Pro. Also, while you are there, buy a spray can of battery terminal cleaner to help the wire brush clean and "kill" the corrosion>

I use electric contact cleaner made by LPS. Just go to any electrical store and ask for contact cleaner it is a no flash cleaner so it won't start a fire if there is an arch. I then use silicone spray with teflon called super lube made by Loctite and Permatex. I never have any problems.

I just put a little waterproof grease on them. Doesn't take but a very little bit. On the battery terminals too.
