denny and me usually grill chops and deep fry fish on our camping outings, so ya better bring some crappy rigs and get some of those 2 lb slabs for the deep grease!
Bama jus bring anything ya want food wise, theres a grocery by the tackle shop in benton I'll pick up meat as i need it.. everyone 's invited to our campsite for vittles rofl

I'm gonna tell my wife she's responsible for catching enough crappie and bream to feed us all. That oughta put the pressure on.

JB, let me pick your brain a little bit about the fishing. If you could only bring say, 4 different kinds of lures, what would you pick? I'm guessing spinnerbait, mid depth crankbait, jig, and some kind of worm. How close am I? Thanks.

Fishing jigs and soft plastics in 3’ to 5’ of water has been my most consistently producing pattern for larger bass. Green pumpkin or June bug has been my best color. Catching fish mostly on wood off rocky points at mouths of bays and flats in backs of bays. Spinner baits and small crank baits are also effective

Fishing. It's what has earned Kentucky Lake a reputation that few bodies of water can amass. A world-class fishery that attracts bass, crappie, smallmouth, panfish, sauger, white bass and catfish anglers from around the globe, Big Bear Resort is right in the center of the action.
Kentucky Lake itself is a 160,000 acre impoundment that boasts 2,380 miles of breathtaking shoreline. Countless bays, inlets and points with a 170,000 acre nature reserve on the Eastern shore make angling here one of the most awe-inspiring sightseeing trips you will ever fish.
Kentucky's warmer climate means a longer growing season that results in big and aggressive bass and panfish. Huge numbers of outsized black bass and crappie are main staples of anglers that regularly harvest quality, as well as quantity, gamefish. Having a seven-pound Kentucky Lake largemouth going spastic on your line is a real treat, no matter what type of fish you normally seek - and we've got plenty of them!
Great fishing can be found almost anywhere on the lake, but some of the best crappie and bass can be found right around the resort in Bear and Malcom Creek. Big Bear Resort has participated in setting artificial cribs and fish attractors in bays around the resort. Plus, with no closed angling season on Kentucky Lake, you can enjoy Big Bear fishing year 'round.
