When I called to make my reservation the other day I asked the gal in the office about the availability of the boat slips and she said that they would most likely have some vacant ones avaiable for that weekend but maybe not a covered slip. After hearing what JB had to say about the wind and waves affecting the first rows, I'm probably gonna call her back and lock one in just to be safe and avoid those first rows.

That's right I remember you saying you got a package deal. I notice your cabin is right there by the entrance to the camp ground area, nice location.

You know what would be cool, if we had a big BASSFISHIN.COM banner to display at the campsite for all to see. Just think, this is only the 2nd event of its kind and traditions have to start sometime. Just thinking of other ways of spreading our Good Name around and making this event bigger and better.
Guys,
I can make a banner if bassfishin.com gives me the permission to copy their text or logo. Would just need the size wanted and someone to pay for materials and shipping.

You'll love those townhouses, super modern and classey,
they have a big concrete hill that is only steps away from the marina and your boat.

Only had one year down there that everyone had stuff stolen out of the boats, the cops think some one cruised in that night from the main lake and snuck over to the slip, the owners told me they've never had any robberies before that in all the time they owned the place, so it may be wise to take your tackle back to the townhouse at night...other than the battery chargers n stuff.

Still planning. Im saying 85% sure of making the trip. If I pick up a travel partner(Lizzie), the percentage goes up. Only kicker will be if gas goes sky high again.

What was that comment you made earlier, zooker? About the craziest of the bunch being signed up on that list?
Everybody take a look at the confirmed people, especially the first 5 lines...

Yeah, we'll have a great time on this trip. My only concern is that we'll have such a good time, the authorities will kick us out of Kentucky...

I will see if I can con her into it. We are looking at next year going to KY Lake but money is short this year with all the cut backs and so on. If we can make it I wont be able to bring the boat and will have to jump on someone else's since my suv is not up to that long of drive with a family and load.

Zook, I'm definitly in, no probably to it. Gas would have to go to 6/gallon for me to stay out of kentucky.

I've been real under the weather lately, sorry I havent been quite in touch. My plans are to camp cause its cheaper and there is a bit of a puritanical simplicity to it and being outdoors that I'll enjoy, so no cabins. I might take several days off and get there early to fish, might hit some smallie streams on the way up as well.
