Default How would you fish this scenario

Here it is, what baits would you use:

You know the bass are on the main river and the creek channels and are hovering towards those areas that have a rocky or gravel bank with shallow water emerging grass thats in 2-3 feet of water and are also hovering towards banks that have laydowns with the water being muddy to a little stained in deeper water by rocky/gravel main points and the deeper creeks, The water is muddy, but fishable with the water averaging about 50 degrees and the water clarity being 1-2 feet with the forage available being Shad, Bluegill, and crawfish and the high winds dirty the water and the bass are relating to any available green grass with newly emerging spatterdock pads along the creek channeks

Welcome to the forum BL1!
Good description of conditions, but there's always more info that would be helpful...water temps on the rise or fall or stable? moving water or still?......1-2 foot visibility would hardly be called muddy to lots of guys!
#1 rat-l-trap #2 chatterbait #3 spinnerbait
BTW what part of the country/world do you fish? new to this or been at it a while? boat or bank? Again welcome....make yourself at home and we love pic's.

Usually sometime in the month a 5-10 degree drop in water temp. occurs. When the water is flowing they like the rocky points and gravel banks, but the quality bass are found in the grass. History has shown that the first part of the week the water temp is cold, but gradually gets warmer as the week progresses with the head waters of the creeks being the warmest with the clearest water, with muddy marsh banks producing as well. The creek ledges in no less than 6 feet produce when there is no current or slow moving current. The water temperature throughout the day is consistently rising as the sun gets higher

Lipless crank, you choose color best in your area.
Jerkbait, hard body over rock and gravel maybe some sort of fluke over weeds and veggies. (can rig weedless)
If you still got active craws, jigs and craw trailer.
Last but not least I'd probably try swiming a jig.

Almost forgot, Welcome to the forum!

3/8oz football jig, or a biffle bug on a hard head.

I would throw a Bandit series 200 in craw or chartreuse and a black and blue jig.

I think I'd throw a spinnerbait - it works well in the grass and has enough thump and flash for the murky water. Probably something dark - I've had good luck with a blue/yellow spinnerbait in similar conditions. I'd try something with 2 blades, the main blade a gold willowleaf. I also might try a spinnerbait with a single Colorado blade that could be slow-rolled.

This year I'm going to try more grubs (twistertails) and tube-type jigs. Not somthing I would have thrown in the past, but could be worth a try in the cool water, especially if the fish want something smaller and slower moving.

I would use a helicopter backed by a banjo minnow in any condition....Just kidding, I really like spinnerbaits and crankbaits for those conditions but don't over look slower techniques like a worm. Darker colors of course for the worms and spinnerbaits and brighter color patterns like the firetiger or red craw for crankbaits. I know alot of people would disagree but thats my preference.
Welcome to the site, enjoy.

I would be fishing a jig, lipless crank, or blade bait.
