How do yall lock your boat?
In my zeal to get out on the water today, I hooked up the boat trailer to the truck and drove off...forgetting all the while that it had been locked up using some of that cable thats sposed to be strong. Well I didn't even notice it break and just happened to see it hanging off the side of the trailer at the gas station...
Anyways, from a theifs perspective, all they gotta do is hook her up and drive off. That aint gonna cut it. Do yall just use chains? I had the cable cause I thought it was resistant to bolt cutters, but again I'm a little down on that cable idea right now.

best idea is a hitch lock which i have. or a lock that fits in the ball hitch..
if you are talking about the safty chains -cable works.. there is no shuch thing as thief proof they want in they will get in.. now perkco makes 90% of the boat hatch locks on the market today.. one key will fit them all.. zooker

If they want it they will take it. You can add cable locks or a hitch lock but that will only slow them down.
I lock my receiver and use a cable lock through my hitch if I am going to be leaving the boat overnight. |

I use a hitchlock. The big problem here is them taking the hitch.

What if I just took the wheels off and set it on a cinder blocks? Would that make it too much trouble? Hehe

They would probably steal your boat and your cinder blocks.
