Red sticks of dynamite. Almost foolproof. Almost.

NONE!!! there is no ''best'' in bass fishing. there might be a good thing to use for that situation, but what may work now, might not work in the same situation tommorrow. and you could use an electric fishing device, just throw it in, and grab the net 8)

Sorry-there ain't no such animal. That's why they call it fishing and not catching. You have to try different baits, colors, and retrieves to find what the fish want at any particular time and location.

That's the problem, 40pounder-there isn't one. Â*There are a lot of variables involved. Â*For example, if the water is above 70 degrees a topwater early and late can work extremely well. Â*In the middle of winter when the water is 40 degrees or less you can throw a topwater all day and you probably won't even get a look, let alone catch a fish.

Give us some specifics where you will be fishing-water temp, muddy or clear, weeds, flooded timber, etc. and we can point you in the right direction. Â*Meantime, here is a great link for someone just getting into bass fishing:

http://www.bassresource.com/beginner/beginner.html

Just know there are no "bests" when it comes to fishing-conditions change too rapidly for one thing to be consistant 100% of the time.

Instead of using the word "BEST" try using these words "Your Preferred Method" I believe in a joke, but yours didn't come off that way. If you want help, then read and ask some decent questions. I've been catching up on the posts, and half of them are what the "BEST", and of course they get the same responses THERE IS NO BEST So please impress me by reading some of the posts before you ask the question.

but there is never a best or a most consisting...alll those words should be whiped from your memory while bass fishing. what works for you today, might not work for you tommorrow in the same conditions.

just do a search on it, use the search button on the bar that is near the top of the site....you will see search, click on it, then type in posting a picture, then dont worry about there poster, go down and change the search results to 7-365 days, and turn the little box into 100 instaed of 25. then click search, if that doesnt work, keep tryin phrases with search in them.

I have found the best technique to be plastic worms. You can fish them so many different ways.

40 lber,
I would go out and buy a pack of worms and hook and bullet sinkers

All the pros eventually go back to the worm

btw I saw the creme finesse worms today, hadn't seen them in years, they look like a horse hair in the water trough, 3 inch or 4-5-6, but light cream skin color,
and skinny
the hook is always bigger than the worm when fishin' that critter
