Default Lifespan

http://www.tacklewarehouse.com/BioEd...page-BELP.html

Good deal right?
Wrong, bioedge has a one year life span! That life is probably almost over if not over already.
So my question is...Do ALL attractants have life spans?
For those of us with seasons, do you store remaining potions and use them next season?
For all year fishing folks, how long do you use the same attractant, months, years?
I know some of you are heavy attractant users and this may not even be a challenge but for the rest of us it may. Some folks don't get the opportunity to fish enough thru a season or summer to use it up, what do you do?

I've never used it but according to them, the shelf life is well over 18 months.

They say the berkley gulp has a long "unopened" shelf life but if I were using it I would replace the bottle at the beginning of every pre-spawn season.

I swear on the bottle or wand it says one year.
I went to the site you mentioned and I can't find the 18 month claim.
And yes I was talking opened more than sealed lifespan.
Even more, is it stupid to buy attractants on sale? Are they on sale only because lifespan is nearing it's end?
If any thing shouldn't there be at an experation date on potion or at least a manufactured date on the potion?

I can't see how anything that stinky have a shelf life. If anything, the older it is the better. I've fished with dead rotten nightcrawlers (reeks) and I swear they were attracting every species in the water.

Doesn't that time start when it is opened? The stuff from Tackle Warehouse isn't opened before you get it, so how would that be expired?

Just read a package, it says,
Shelf Life- Will remain effective for more than 18 months, but extract components will eventually deteriorate. For best results, replace each season.
If it was once opened I think it would clearly state that because it makes a huge difference.
My understanding is most potions now days have extract components. Which brings me back to the question, Do they all have a shelf life?

Shampoo manufacturers doubled their sales when they added one word to the user instructions printed on the bottle... Repeat.

Organic compounds will degrade over time.... this being said, when they suggest that your go buy more of their product because you have kept it too long kind of make me think they just want some more of your dough. ask yourself these questions. Has it lost its smell? has the color of the product changed? does it seem less effective than before? this is how i would judge if i need to replace it or not.
