Default jig-n-pigs

I used this jig for the first time today and had a ball with it. Its a great bait. I think i went a little to big on size but overall did pretty good. What sizes does everyone else use? It was also a strike king white with blood hook and blood skirt. Also whats your favorite colors. I live in northern michigan so kinda touph fishin up here but you would never know it with this bait.

Welcome to the site. The size of the jig imho is relative to the structure and what species you are after. Normally when you have a mix of smallies and largemouth I pretty well opted for the 1/4oz in blacl,black/blue.brown and brown/orange unless the water was pretty clear and then I would be throwing a watermelon pepper. Some folks beleive that color on jigs is not as important as is the presentation. I personally feel that the closer I am to the local forage in color the better chance I have at getting bit.
