When fishing clear water, I try to use something that is very close to the color of the crayfish in the water. In the spring I use something with a green hue, watermelon, etc. Even browns with orange which also mimic the color of the crayfish.

lighter shades will work better in clear water. also try using lighter weights and sizes.

What Bassguy said. In fact, I usually use crawdad jigs.

Greens and browns. There's a color made by Strike King called Texas craw that is one of my favorites.

Pick a color and fish it. I use Black/Red skirts alot, plain old black works really well, but its difficult to find because they don't catch the fishermans eye as well as they catch bass. P N J
