I don't know. You didn't tell us if there are any catfish in the lake.

how long has these mines been around? and is there any sumerged brush or trees? cause all you big shovel head catfish are going to be on the bottom of all that junk, my suggestions would be to go to your local bait shop and get some medium sized goldfish, hook a pretty good sized circle hook just under the dorsal fin dont hit the lateral line because you want it stay alive this is a hard bait to resists for big cats, another great bait and a lil bit on the cheaper route would be to catch smaller bluegills and do the same, or if throughout the nite some of bluegills die, cut their heads off and fish them on the bottom as well. the way you'll want to rig this is going to be for bottom fishing i always tie and fairly large wait about 14 inces above the hook that way the bait will be able to swim freely thus drawing more attention to itself, i hope something ive said will help you, good luck, report and tell how ya did.
