Default This is why I chose to miss most of the KY lake event

This is a picture of my son, Allen and his first Kentucky Lake crappie. The smile says it all! It was a legal keeper at 10.5 inches. We had an awesome weekend, even though the weather was not always the best.

Congratulations to Allen! That's a nice crappie. I don't blame you for missing most of the event, if he was the reason.

He was running around the campground telling everyone about his crappie. It was so funny and I know you will be shocked to hear that everytime he told the story, the fish got a little bigger. He is a true fisherman!

The picture below is a little bass he caught while bluegill fishing. In case you have not figured it out, I am a proud Pappa! I know that I hide it well.

You made the right choice. I started taking the Basinbandit fishing 25 yrs ago and we still fish togather every chance we get. We were at the shindig but We didn't get to meet you. I wish we had the chance the chance to talk for a bit, maybe next time.

Great pictures.

bama,

I thought about bringing him up with me, but at age 6 I knew he would be bored quickly. He can't out fish his ole man yet, but give him a week or two. His biggest problem is that he is 6 and I have to keep reminding myself of that and to be patient. He is good with the fishing as long as the fish are hungry and he has some toys in the boat for those slow times.
