Default First fish since KY

Well, after the rain we had on and off all day today, I had the itch to go fishing. So I grabbed my UL and my crankin' stick, jumped in my truck, got right back out and walked to my backyard pond.

I started throwing a Bomber Fat Free Guppy in this color:

I got one dinky fish on it and switched to a small Storm Sub Wart on my UL. After casting a while, I began kind of twitching while I was reeling it in. I got a nice hit about 4 foot from shore and landed the little dink.

I casted some more and then switched to a spinner called a Shyster (sp?). Kind of like a rooster tail, but I don't know if they make them any more. Look like this.

I caught one fish yo-yo'ing it back to shore. Since all we have in my pond are dinks, that's all I caught, but even dinks fight big on an UL and 4lb test.

Despite being like 5000% humidity, it was a fun evening of UL dink fishing.

BB

Fun fun! When ever I just wanna fish, and fight the fish, I'll do the same thing! It's real fun for sure!

You guys been getting a lot of rain too ah, we've had rain every day for 2 weeks!

After last couple weeks of humidity and being worn out from ky lake, we are ready to get back into the swing of things here too. Denny and me looked out at the gray skies and thought , ya brookville time LOL We'll probably hit it mid week as he has weekend plans, plus his band scored their first gig in Dayton next month, so he's getting ready for that. But usually one of the guys or us will find out the smallmouths and walleyes are on fire and it will last all June, we're hoping to get woody and nofearengineer out there and show them what the lake has, woody and I have hit it at the worst times ever last fall and this spring, and have not much to show for our efforts, soon all that will change and we'll be dodging the standing timbers in templeton creek fighting smallies.

JB, I just bought my Hot Spots Map for Brookville. Of course, I'm gonna mount it in a glass case with a hammer that reads "BREAK IN CASE OF EMERGENCY - JB COULDN'T MAKE IT!!!"

I bought some X-Raps and Husky Jerks like you said...I was fondling them in the garage last night, eagerly awaiting our trip over.
