Day on the Bay
I gotta share my spade trip with ya'll. Left the Motel at 6:00 got to the Lynn Haven launch at 6:30.(that is after hitting the bait shop and coffee house) come out under the bridge and the water was glassy smooth, opened it up for a 14 mile run out to the Northern Channel. arrived at the Fourth Island at 7:15 after rigging we were in business by 7:30. Started out slow, picking up a few seabass, croaker, spot and several undersize flounder. At around 10:00 we moved around to he Bay side of the Island...BAMMMMMM we started nailing 14-18 spade right after another by 2:30 we limited out on Spade. 5 guys, 4 spade apiece. so we switched back to bottom fishing and filled another cooler with croaker. but when we came around the Island to head back in... HOLYSMOKES the ocean side was nasty we delt with 4-5'chop the whole way in. I couldnt run over 10MPH without sinking. "Thanks God for selfbailing Boats" anyway what a day.
Jerry
