Default Fishing while numb

I finally got out fishing this weekend. The weather was terrible from the time I took my first cast until I packed my car at the end of the weekend.

On Saturday, I went out for opening day of trout season. The weather became colder as I sat and waited for 8:00 a.m. Once I took my first cast, it started to rain. When I left the stream, my fingers were numb. I went for lunch and thought that perhaps the weather would improve. It didn't.

When I arrived at the lake to load up the boat and fish for bass, it began snowing and then sleeting. I went fishing anyway and managed to land 3 good size bass. Two of the three were caught on a white and green Strike King tube. The third bass came on a DT-4 baby bass Rapala with size 4 hooks (I added the larger hooks during the winter).

On Sunday, there was no precip. but it was still cold. I managed to catch four LM and my friend caught two. Three of my four came on the Strike King Tube. The third was caught on a Rogue (silver and black). My friend's fish were caught on a Rapala Husky Jerk.

NOTE: JB, I think the suspending jerkbaits have some potential. Glad that I finally gave the Rogue a try. Thanks for the recommendation.
