Zoom Ultra Vibe Speed Craw

Just picked up a pack of these today in junebug to use as trailers on my 1/2oz jigs. Anyone have experience with them? The have good reviews on TW, but who knows. I have yet to hook a fish on a jig, though I have had a few strikes.

The Ultra Vibe Speed Craw is one of my favorite jig trailers. They put out quite a bit of action and move some water but still give you a more finesse profile.

I t-rig them but haven't had all that much success with them. I do better on paca and chigger craws for some reason.

I use that trailer on a jig all the time in florida. Good trailer, I have a lot of confidence in it! I liked it a lot when I needed a slower fall, or just more thump, and vibration. That same color too!

John, those are great jig trailers!! I use the Green Pumpkin colors on similar colored jigs up here in North Georgia when the bass want a reaction bite (fast falling). I sometimes pinch off about half the body and hook it pork style for a different look.

I use the green pumpkin on a shaky-head. It is fantastic around chunk rock, particularly for smallies!

oh yea green pumpkin on my jigs. they are a real good flippin bait i like to use screw in tungsten weights and 20 pound flourocarbon. Phenominal Bait

Agreed! one of the best flippin baits ever! Black neon is the deal here on the ol'miss. I also use them as jig trailers.

I fish my Zoom Speed Craws on a special jig head. I can't find a picture of the jig head online, but it's an offset wide gap worm hook with a cork screw bait keeper though the eye of the hook. On the underside, just behind the bend in the hook is a flat bottomed lead weight. I screw the butt of the craw into the corkscrew bait keeper, and make a flush texas rig burying the hook into the skin to make it weedless. I use this set up on light mono and on a spinning reel. I mainly uses this to skip far under docks and work the craw back to the boat using a sweeping motion, with the occasional hoop if I hit something solid under the dock. This works very well for me, but it requires the right dock and the perfect skip to keep from wrapping around pylons.
