Default Rod Combos

Hey guys...How many rod combos do you guys usually have? And how many do you usually bring out to the lake when you're fishing? I have one spinning combo and one baitcasting combo, and for now, I use them both when I fish...And I'm thinking about getting another one (casting). I currently have a 6'6 MH Fast Action Shimano Clarus Rod with the Curado 201BSF reel, and I have my eye on the Curado 201B5 reel.. Not sure what Rod, but I'm a little hesitant on picking it up... Just curious to how many all you fishermen out there have... Thanks

YBM

Actually fewer than many of the older guys on here, because of both boat space and limited money.

I have what I term the big 3 baitcasters; my light action Morrum 1600 on a 6 1/2 berkely rod, my heavier 5600 on an allstar rod and my Pinnacle Tara on my flipping stick. These all cover the bases, but I would like to get something in the middle between the 5600 and 1600, it may or may not end up being another garcia.

Spinning I normally only take the larger garcia cardinal on the 7 footer, but I hardly use this setup now. I also did take an ultralight combo, but that has broken down over the past few months.

In the summer I also always have a fly rod handy.

I dont at all disagree with you kicker, the cardinals leave a lot to be desired. Last night I got a mitchell at walmart to replace the ultralight cardinal I had had. That cardinal fell apart after 2 years. The Mitchell was cheap, but its smooth and if it does break I'm only out 20 bucks. I havent yet got the taste for high end spinning gear.

try 25 combo's for tourny fishing i normally only use 7 combo's. in reality you only need 1 for plastic's, 1 for crank baits,1 for spinnerbaits,1 for c-rig,and 1 for top water.

14 combos total. 4 of which are spinning. Prefishing I'll usually take 6 or 7 to the lake to apply to where I think the fish should be based on seasonal behaviors and weather and lake conditions. If and when a strong pattern emerges I'll pair my stuff down to 3 or 4 rods with an extra for emergencies (change in conditions, front, etc.)

I got one shimano and 5 quantum baitcasters- top of the line for the mid 90s lol) and two crappy spinning outfits, one of which I am going to replace reallll soon. both are shimanos...I hardly throw them tho, maybe 1/2 hour a trip on the water, the other 8 hours is all baitcasting...
