Treatem like you stole them as cost was right.
No different than any other hook ,possibly better.

The only reason I havn't tried them is because of their cost. They look like an excellent hook to me. Thats great you got them by filling out a survey.

Pass the quiz and you're on your way to a free pack of Trokars.

Trokars are great hooks. I was a little iffy about them when they came out but I am a believer in them now. Enjoy your new hooks.

Yeah, too rich for my blood but I think they look great. I took the quiz and they did send me a pack of hooks. I haven't had a chance to use them yet. I think it's a random pick as to what hooks they will send. I was hoping for some DS hooks but I received some 1/0 worm hooks. Can't wait to try them with a senko.

The way I look at it, the hook is what actually catches the fish. If your hook is bad, it doesn't matter what rod, reel, line or bait you're using. At $1.00-$1.40 per hook, it isn't really that expensive. I find them most beneficial on larger wire hooks, big EWG hooks, big offset hooks, large spring lock hooks, hooks that generally have a tougher time penetrating.

OK confession time!

I got in last year on the free hook deal.
First sent me 4/0s which 3/0s were almost my largest I used with few exceptions.
I now use 4/0s as much as 3/0s and the 2/0s became the odd ball.
Next after some extreme fishing I got an all so slight of tip bend.
Caught a large fish on a 30+ foot cast and set...hook penetrated with ease even damaged. It wasn't a hard set due to distance of the set.

I was SOLD...HOOK, line and sinker.
Oh I switched to titanium too!

Now the titanium switch was more because I was told by those 'in the know' that LOONS much prefer eating titanium sinkers as opposed to lead.
Just doing my part to help the birdbrains.....I mean birds.

Still like Mustads sliding weighted swimbait hook and will always beleive in gammies but.....I now buy trokars usually.

Oh I tried to do quiz again this year but without a different e-mail wouldn't give me hooks. ...

Has anyone noticed that Trokars are made by Eagle Claw? Read the back of the Trokar package, glorified Eagle Claw

+1...Ive got a healthy collection of them now and they keep a fish button really well...They are a bit pricey but they seem to hold a great quality.
I have the flipping hooks too,but have yet to rig/use them...Love the HD worm hooks though!...Im curious to try the trebles

I noticed the hooks they sent me were irregular. On was very over-bent, some were sharpened off-center, and they varied widely in size. I think maybe the free hooks they send out are the ones that don't pass QC. I guess giving them out is better than throwing them away though.

I got mine last year for free but traded them for a great looking Trokar hat. I bought some of the flipping hooks to try this year.

Contact them, they'll probably send you a half a dozen new packs.
The purpose of the freebies was to promote their quality and to create BUYERS.
These folks are serious about making a devoted buyer base.
It's working. Can't tell you how many Trokar die hards got started by that 'devious' little free pack.
And my freebie 'bit' ME first too.
